Private Guitar and ukulele Lessons
Play the music you want to play! Our guitar teachers start from where you are and move toward where you want to be!
We have served Rockville, Gaithersburg, Germantown and surrounding communities with guitar instruction since 1995.
Our guitar teachers specialize in teaching both acoustic and electric guitar in many different styles and genres. Each guitar teacher is encouraged to develop a specific lesson plan for their students, focusing on unique goals and interests. At the same time, every student will learn the fundamentals of guitar including technique, reading, ear training and traditional repertoire. We promote a balanced approach, focusing equally on daily exercises, method books and reading, all with the goal of teaching students the music that inspires them to learn more!
Acoustic and Electric Guitar Lessons for Beginners
Guitar beginners may learn notes and/or tablature depending on their goals. Important beginner techniques will be addressed (such as positions, pick technique, strumming, etc). Lessons will equip students with the necessary skills to play guitar – classical or modern. Electric guitar students will be able to plug in and learn blues, rock, pop, and scales that can pave the way for more advanced studies in jazz. Acoustic guitar students will learn the open chords, strumming patterns and finger picking techniques that provide the foundation for folk, country and singer/songwriter styles. Chords, tab, notes, finger strengthening exercises, and developing muscle memory are among many beginner topics. After only a couple of lessons, beginner students will start to work on their favorite songs as they continue to learn the basics. Our guitar teachers are able to come up with simplified versions of any song in order to teach the music that piques your interest in a progressive and easy to understand fashion.
We offer a half-price trial lesson and, after that, a 3-week Money Back Guarantee!
Why are we so confident? Our hiring process. We don’t hire a new teacher unless they have shown us and convinced us by resume, checked references, phone interview, live interview and observed teaching auditions that they are 1) good with people, 2) reliable, 3) excellent musicians, and 4) really know how to communicate and teach effectively.
