Private Instruction at The Academy of Fine Arts

In Private Instruction with an experienced and professional musician/performer/teacher, students learn to master the instrument they have chosen and to communicate musical purpose and meaning through that instrument. With Academy teacher's skills and dedication combined with equal commitment on the part of students and supportive family, progress is rapid. Students experience the excitement and satisfaction that comes with full understanding and performance of great works of music.

Daily practice is expected of all Academy private students. In addition, individual teachers may have their own specific requirements regarding length of practice time, listening requirements, concert attendance, enrollment in Performance, and participation in recitals and/or competitions.

All private students age 8 and above are urged to take advantage of the Academy's outstanding Musicianship Classes.

Make-Up Policy

Tuition reserves all registered classes or lesson times during the semester for a student regardless of student non-attendance, illness, vacation, field trips, etc. The Academy is not obligated to make up for student absences. In the event of the Academy closing or teacher cancellation, a make-up date will be scheduled.
