Guitar Class Ages 9 - 12 and Ukulele Class Ages 8 - 9

James Ellis leads our guitar and ukulele classes for 8 - 13 years old students. The goal is to get students excited by sounding good right from the start. Start right off with learning and playing basic chord formations and right hand strumming. The class also introduces music reading skills, finger technique and various styles of playing the guitar.
About the Teacher
James Ellis teaches ukulele and all styles of acoustic and electric guitar and bass, from classical guitar to jazz, rock, country, pop and more. He is a professional working guitarist/electric bassist with years of experience playing in the best venues in the Baltimore/Washington area. He is friendly and relaxed with students, but also thorough and organized in his teaching. He knows how to move students to their goals.

Students often come with different guitar backgrounds. Our small class sizes afford plenty of time for individual attention within the overall group setting. The class is perfect for students wanting to see what they can do without committing to private lessons yet.
